There are three times as many postgraduate students than there were fifteen years ago within the UK alone and there are an ever-increasing number of medicine-related postgraduate courses available to study. Postgraduate courses are expensive and time consuming. Therefore, why are an increasing number of students undertaking postgraduate studies in medical specialities? And what is the benefit of choosing to study in a specialist area?
